Overview
Come celebrate World Ice Skating Day in Lake Placid, New York!
World Ice Skating Day is an international day dedicated to celebrating ice skating across the world in the form of a global festival. This global festival comes to the Lake Placid Olympic Center and the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval on Sunday, December 3rd and will encompass all types of ice sports.
Be it first time skaters, professional athletes, or families looking to spend quality time together, there is something for everyone at World Ice Skating Day in Lake Placid!
Additionally, local clubs will be on hand to help out and give more information on programs. If you’ve never skated before, come on over and someone will help you with the most exciting of “firsts!”
This is your chance to get the family skating again before the holiday rush!
Admission is FREE from 9am – 1:30pm on the Oval – and 3 – 5pm in the 1932 Rink. Skate rentals are $10 dollars per person.
