The puck drops Thanksgiving weekend in Lake Placid!

The Lake Placid Olympic Center is set to host the fourth annual Adirondack Winter Invitational presented by the Golden Arrow—Friday, Nov. 27 and Saturday, Nov. 28—featuring Clarkson, RIT, St. Lawrence, and Merrimack men’s Division I hockey teams, along with the St. Lawrence and Merrimack women’s Division I hockey teams—all battling for glory!

Join us for two action-packed days featuring six games—four men’s and two women’s. It all goes down in the legendary Herb Brooks Arena—the same ice where the Miracle on Ice stunned the world in 1980. Points mean everything, and only one men’s team and one women’s team will skate away with Adirondack Winter Invitational titles.

Adults: $50 dollars per seat (+ $5.00 processing fee)

Single Day Tickets:

(Single Day tickets include admission that day to both games your ticket is valid for)

Adults (ages 19 – 64) | $30 (+ $3.00 processing fee)
Student/Youth (ages 7-18) | $15 (+ $3.00 processing fee)
Seniors (ages 65+) | $15 (+ $3.00 processing fee)
Military Discount with Id | $15 (+ $3.00 processing fee)
Children ages 6 and under | FREE

Additional Ticket Purchasing Information:

Whiteface, Gore, Belleayre, and Mt Van Hoevenburg season pass holders will receive a 20% discount off single day tickets by entering a Coupon Code.
Tickets will be available at the box office for walk ups through the first period of the second game, by phone at (518) 523-3330 during normal business hours, or on our ticketing website.
Debit and Credit Cards only will be accepted for transactions and all taxes and processing fees will apply at the window.
Processing fee is $3 per day ticket, $5 for all event tickets.
No cash or checks will be accepted.

Landing right in the thick of early conference play, the Adirondack Winter Invitational shakes things up with high-stakes, non-conference showdowns on neutral ice—perfect prep for the battles ahead in the second half of the season.

The tournament’s history already packs plenty of drama: Arizona State took home the inaugural Adirondack Winter Invitational trophy in 2023, followed by the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2024 and the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2025. Clarkson has competed in every Invitational, while St. Lawrence has competed twice before. Other past participants have included Cornell, UMass Amherst, and Providence College.
