The Olympic Center | Lake Placid, NY

This global festival comes to the Lake Placid Olympic Center and the James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval on Sunday, December 3rd and will encompass all types of ice sports. Admission is FREE from 9am – 1:30pm on the Oval – and 3 – 5pm in the 1932 Rink. Skate rentals are $10 dollars per person.

1980 Herb Brooks Arena

ADIRONDACK WINTER INVITATIONAL

The inaugural Adirondack Winter Invitational brings together some of the best men’s college hockey players in the nation for two days of action in the historic 1980 Herb Brooks Arena. University of Massachusetts-Amherst plays Cornell in the opening game of the invitational Friday, followed by Arizona State taking on Clarkson in the nightcap. Saturday night is the consolation and Championship game!

Figure Skating Sessions

The Olympic Center offers figure skating sessions for all ages to hone their skills. Instruction is not included in the session fee, although skaters may book a lesson with approved Lake Placid figure skating coaches.
