Imagine having your own tangible piece of the “Miracle” which became one of the greatest moments in sports history.  The Lake Placid 1980 Arena seats are now on sale.  These authentic seats are from the Lake Placid 1980 Arena, where sports fans watched team captain Mike Eruzione fire home “the shot heard round the world” during game three against Russia and where Robbie McClanahan got a goal from a pass by Mark Johnson to win the final game against Finland. The world stood still as Al Michaels exclaimed, “This impossible dream comes true!” and pandemonium hit the rink. The crowd chanted, “USA! USA!”  Since then, these seats have served a packed house on many occasions with thousands of spectators watching national and international hockey tournaments, figure skating competitions, speed skating events, music concerts, and many other world-renowned events.

Seat Details:

The original 1980 arena seats have been removed as part of the major renovation project at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid.  This comprehensive project has modernized the entire facility including new seating and aesthetic enhancements, updates to locker rooms, concession areas, hospitality suites, restrooms, a completely transformed outdoor skating oval, new oval building, upgraded refrigeration plant, and the reconstructed “Miracle Plaza” which will feature the all-new Lake Placid Olympic Museum, a large retail space, and special dining area with tremendous Adirondack views.

The Lake Placid 1980 Arena seats will be sold as is. A deconstructed single seat, double seat with arms, or seat back is available for purchase (does not include legs and will not stand on their own as is).  Packages and pricing are listed below and include details of the products available.  There is no ability to purchase a particular number(s) nor guarantee any numbers will be consecutive in a pair.

(Our access to storage is limited – therefore we have limited allotments of seats at a time.  If/when, we have access to additional seats, they may become available for sale online again.)
